Gary Lynch is the Founder and CEO of The Risk Project, LLC. This global advisory firm analyzes and measures industry value and supply chain risk and its impact on customer expectations, organization’s profitability, and the ESG agenda.
Mr. Lynch has served as Managing Director and Global Head of Marsh’s supply chain risk intelligence and resiliency business, Partner at Booz Allen Hamilton, Research Director at the Gartner Group, Chief Information Security Officer at Chase Manhattan Bank, and Executive Director of the Office of Business Continuity and Information Security at The Prudential.
He has consulted with executive leadership at NVIDIA, Otsuka Pharmaceutical, Essilor, Rockwell Automation, Roche, Trumpf, Huntsman, Shanghai-Roche, World Economic Forum, KPMG, Pepsi, NPS Pharma, BAE Systems, Adidas, Westinghouse Nuclear, Stryker, DRS Technologies, EigenRisk, Resilnc, AIR, Everbridge, and PwC.
The United States Secretary of Commerce appointed Mr. Lynch as a founding member of the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness. He also serves as a Senior Research Fellow to the R. H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
Mr. Lynch has authored three books and recently been named number 1 in the “Top 50 Global Thought Leaders on Risk Management” by thinkers360. He has also been received honors as “Thought Leader of the Year” by the Global Supply Chain Resiliency Council, “World’s Best Supply Chain Risk Consulting Provider” by Global Finance and Top 25 Information Manager by Information Management magazine.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the New York Institute of Technology, U.S. Secret Service commendation for 9/11, and the Silver Medal of Valor from Nassau County, NY Fire Service.
